Naryn Region
Naryn region is Kyrgyzstan at its most remote and rugged high, dry and sparsely populated, cut through by the Naryn River and the historic Silk Road route toward the Torugart Pass and China. Its main draw for travelers is Tash Rabat, a stone caravanserai from the 15th century tucked into a high valley, along with wide-open high pastures well suited to travelers looking to get away from the more-visited north of the country.
